A Guide to All Our Cats (and a Rabbit!)
Because you can't tell the players without a program, here's a brief rundown of the animals residing at our house. First, we've got the Officially-Ours Cats:
Nicki
Nicki's 13 years old, and has been with my wife for about 11 years. He's shy and antsy and would rather be an only cat.
Oski
Oski came from a litter of cats that turned up in the warehouse of the company my wife works for. He was the runt of the litter, which is hard to believe now!
Moon
We got Moon from a local rescue group when we decided Oski needed a playmate more his own age (they're both about three now). She likes to be petted, but not picked up!
Fiona
She just turned up on our doorstep! We think she's about four months now.
And we can't forget Rex Rabbit!
Rex came from the House Rabbit Society in Richmond, California, a rescue group that deals solely with rabbits. Rex was featured in an article in their magazine once!
Then there's the Cats That Came With the House:
Annie and Sadie
We originally thought they were sisters, but it turns out they're mother and daughter! We're not exactly sure which is which, though. They used to be quite skinny, beleive it or not!
Emma
She's still the most stand-offish. She comes in to eat, but then runs right back out again!
There's also our sometimes-visitor Blackie
When he's around, he comes by twice a day to eat, and likes it if you sit outside and pet him. Not sure whose cat he really is, but he disappears for a month or so, and then comes back.
There's a couple of others that hang around outside, including one we think may be Fiona's mother. But these are the ones you'll see the most!

They are all so cute. Looking at them makes me want to grab one of my cats and hug him. They don't appreciate it while it's so hot, though.
